Literature Text

We're each a tiny spec of carbon
In this vast, infinite universe
Thinking we're significant
And that's just being terse
You really aren't that special
I'm really not important
Even together we mean nothing
We don't even make a dent
And what if there are aliens?
What if we're not the only ones?
They don't matter either
Or their space-stuff in the tons
All the planets that are gigantic
So big, words can't describe
They're pretty worthless too
We won't let them slide
Because when you look at the big picture
That you can't even fully see
Who really cares about anything?
And why should we?
Maybe I'm being austere
My views twisted and twirled
But would you believe me if I told you
That you're my entire world?

EDIT: I made the alternate ending into the actual ending because the original ending was grammatically incorrect. Kay, thanks.

(Yeah, write that on a Valentine card). ;]
